LOVE
From passion projects to pro-bono assignments to design collaborations, these were the jobs done (or WIP) for the love of design. There’s no switching off a restless mind.
Northeast Edit
In 2021, I co-founded Northeast Edit, a non-profit organisation that brings awareness and shifts perceptions on racial bias by partnering with creative communities of Northeast India. A gallery space meets cultural journey and creative collective. We are committed to sharing the beauty and creativity from Northeast of India in ways that inspire, and reflect the culture of this underrepresented region.

WHO: GIF-Busters
A series of sharable myth-busting GIFs, lovingly made in collaboration with Carmela Cardart (Barcelona), Stephanie Low (Singapore) and Shannon Crowe (Melbourne). A quick cross-continent response to World Health Organisation's brief to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Magazine B: Issue 48
B is an ad-less monthly publication that introduces one well-balanced brand unearthed from around the globe in each issue. It has featured most iconic brands like Patagonia, Star Wars, Nike, Pantone, Mini, Google, Coke, Havaianas etc.
For almost a year, I worked with Airbnb’s PR team to influence and inform B editorial to publish an issue on Airbnb. We got there, in the end.
Satoli: Mountain inspired urban living
A work in progress. Maybe when I am finally done with my 'job', I'll pay full time attention to this.
Satoli is a lifestyle boutique that offers 100% organic handmade products that support sustainable living. The original design of the products and experiences are all inspired by mountain aesthetics and wisdom.
Design Vagabond: WALKTHISWAY
WALKTHISWAY is a series of intimate audio-visual city guides. Designed to help people fall in love with a city, these carefully curated bite-sized anecdotes, stories and commentaries offer a chic way to discover the hidden gems of cities across the globe, while engaging your senses and simply making you feel more alive.
I started working on this app before joining Airbnb (at which point, predictably, the work stopped). I still love the thinking and would love to kickstart the project again. Know any passionate product developers? Send them my way!
Design Everyday: Known Unknown
I conceived and curated this project with the Brand Union team and multidisciplinary artists from Singapore. The second installation in the Design Everyday installation at Spikes Asia, Known Unknown was a live installation exhibition that explored unknown art expressions on popular consumer products.
Larger than life everyday objects such as a credit card, a toothpaste tube, a mobile phone and a shoe all created an epic canvas for talented local artists. The size of the items and the lack of context created a new experience of space, disorienting and reorienting the viewer at every turn.
Brand Union x John Clang: Look Twice
I conceived and curated this Spikes Asia photography project with New York based photographer John Clang, designed to showcase the personal artistic skills of the region’s creative community.
The brief was simple: there is always an untold story everywhere around you. You see them every day. If you don’t, look twice. Capture a moment that makes the mundane beautiful.
Ritual: The Workout Reworked
A passion project during Brand Union days. I worked with my friends, the Ritual founders, Brad and Ian, to create a brand philosophy, identity, design system and space design. The final identity was done by ace Singaporean designer Benedict Wong.
Ritual was a city gym concept that would be the antidote to all the other city gyms. Pared down, unpretentious, and tough as hell, it aimed to attract people who were time-starved, results-focused, and dissatisfied by the impersonal and inefficient ‘big gym’ experience.
Training sessions were designed to work the body with maximum efficiency in just 20 minutes, leaving time to cool down, get changed and grab a specially created nutrition shake on the way out. All in half an hour.
